Igår bestämde jag mig för att överraska Markus med en riktig höstlyxkväll, en helt vanlig tisdag. Vi firade hans andra dag på hans nya jobb. Jag älskar att sätta guldkant på vardagen och hitta på roliga saker mitt i veckan. Inte bara leva för att vara kung på helgen. Han hade fått en stor charkkorg i avskedspresent på sitt förra jobb. Så vi började med några småbitar chark. Mina nya rustika skärbrädor fyndade jag i förra veckan på Poshliving till ett fotojobb.
Och ett glas barolo!
Jag tände årets första brasa. Jag har saknat den rökiga doften och det smattrande ljudet. Tänkte skaffa glasdörrar till kakelugnarna så man ser när det brinner. Har man de öppna när man eldar så röker det in förmycket.
Eftersom jag ville göra en middag till Markus så fick det bli något han älskar, nämligen högrevshamburare.
Ingen höstlyxkväll utan ansiktsmask. Så efter maten lyckades jag till och med övertala Markus att sätta på sig en: ”The Scream Mask”. Han fick en som skulle framhäva ens glow och jag skämde bort min una med en riktigt fuktbomb till min torra hy. Dessvärre fick jag inte dokumentera det fantastiska ögonblicket.
Sedan var det dags för middagens le grand finale. Jag bar in den fina asken som Markus sedan fick öppna och välja sin Magnum Pints favorit.
Han valde två, den giriga jäveln, haha. White Chocolate och Almond.
Jag demostrerade pedagogiskt hur man ”crack it open”.
Jag hade tänkt att jag skulle lägga upp glassen fint med dekoration. Men Markus röstade för att ta varsin burk, en sked och sleva i sig. Hela burken är klädd med ett tjockt lager choklad, precis som en klassisk Magnum pinglass, fast i burk.
Jag tror man kan dela in människor i två släkte när det kommer till mat. ”Sås” och ”icke sås” person. Jag är en solklar såsperson. Ju mer sås desto bättre. Köttbullarna får gärna flyta runt som bojar i vattnet på min tallrik och lingonen får gärna utgöra en fjärdedel av helheten. Ber gärna om dubbla såser – ofta. Sås är ju grädden på moset, pricken över i:et, det där lilla extra som gör livet värt att leva för. Ja, jag älskar verkligen sås och tillbehör, haha.
Allt ovan såklart till min PT’s förskräckelse.
Och för det älskar jag nya Magnum Pints – för de har inte snålat på chokladen. Det är ett riktigt rejält lager choklad som man ska tugga sig igenom. Jag minns när jag var mindre och beställde en mjukglass på JamJam och fick några nästintill obefintliga strösselkorn tuttifrutti. Man blir ju besviken.
När ska man ens börja med strössel i flera lager? Tänk er följande scenario: lite mjukglass, strössel, lite mjukglass, strössel. Upprepa proceduren massa gånger. Samma princip som en tårta. Det vore något.
Så tack för generositeten Magnum det värmer i en såspersons hjärta.
Japp, så vi slevade i oss glassen framför ett avsnitt av Breaking Bad som vi precis börjat kolla på. Hur bra är den serien? Orkar inte!
