Förrgår var vi som sagt på en vingård, det kryllar av sådana här i Kapstaden. Satan vilken förtrollande miljö. Gick loss med kameran så ni ska få se massa bilder. Vet ni vad vinprovningen kostade? 35 kronor. Yes, ganska överkomligt. Kommer bli svårt att ställa om sig till svenska eller framförallt stockholmspriser efter den här resan. Det är ju löjligt dyrt i Stockholm just nu – med allt. Halva lönen går ju åt till att betala middagar och drinkar känns det som.
Kan nog tänka mig att flytta hit när jag blir äldre, vilket lyxliv man skulle kunna leva då. Tänk att sätta sprätt på pensionspengen här istället – då lever man ju loppan på elva tusen i månaden. Bridgeklubbar och drinkar i solnedgången tills man stupar.

Visst är Sydafrika underbart! Finns så mycket härligt i Kapstaden och jag har längtat efter att åka tillbaka ända sen jag var där för två år sen. Det är, precis som du säger, superbilligt (i svenska mått mätt) att leva i lyx. Det är superhärligt och jag skriver verkligen inte det här för att regna på din parad, men… Även om de lyxiga delarna av Sydafrika är underbara så bör man vara medveten om vilket otroligt segregerat land Sydafrika är och att den där billiga lyxen inte enbart är positiv. Att det är billigt är såklart härligt för oss turister, men baksidan är en rätt dålig ekonomi för landet i stort, vilket främst drabbar människorna i de extremt fattiga kåkstäderna. Jag tror att turism är toppen för ett lands ekonomi, men när det gäller just Sydafrika så bör man ta på lite extra kritiska glasögon, det är liksom invecklat på så många sätt. 1994 ses som slutet på Apartheid och visst har mycket hänt sen dess, men än idag är det den svarta befolkningen som lever i kåkstäderna och har det tuffast. I Kapstadens lyxigare delar lever i princip bara vita, som kan ta del av all den billiga lyxen, medan stora delar av den svarta befolkningen fortfarande går på knäna.
Jag säger som sagt inte att man inte ska njuta av lyxen, men jag blir lite ledsen av att ständigt och jämt läsa hur underbart, lyxigt och fantastiskt Sydafrika är, när det i själva verket fortfarande är ett land med enorma problem. Under min tid i Sydafrika reste jag runt mycket och fick se de delar som inte är så smickrande, för att sedan bo i lyxiga områden som Waterfront i Kapstaden. Det var fruktansvärt jobbigt att tvingas se kontrasterna, men det lämnade mig mer ödmjuk och jag tror att problemet är viktigt att fundera över även när man bara turistar. Tänker lite att man kan njuta och lyfta något viktigt samtidigt :)
